On a day where many predicted the heat would dominate the headlines, Tera Moody and Mike Sayenko let their performances speak for themselves Sunday morning.
Moody, running before her hometown, posted her second consecutive personal best in the Chicago Marathon finishing as the 3rd US Woman overall in 2:30:53. Although she battled a nagging toe injury for the past 8 weeks that slowed her training, Moody managed to comfortably shave 2 minutes off her time from a year ago.

Sayenko also grabbed plenty of attention posting his own new best of 2:14:27 as the 2nd US Male finisher after 32 weeks of hard training. This was Sayenko’s first marathon training program with Coach Brad Hudson who feels he’ll continue to get stronger when they go through another. His previous marathon best was 2:16:38.
