Stephanie Rothstein, a former distance standout for the University of California, Santa Barbara, debuted in the 13.1 mile distance at the Aramco Houston Half Marathon on January 13, 2008.

No Gaucho has ever made phenomenal running and unrivaled success look so easy. Having smashed Katie Appenrodt’s 10,000 meter school record by over a minute and a half in 2006, Stephanie, with her ever-shrinking 10k PR of 33:27.85, is truly a legend in the annals of UCSB track and field. Stephanie is an all-American, Big West cross country champion, and league title-holder in the 5k and the 10k.

She was also the 2006 Big West Conference Athlete of the Year, 2006 NACAC Under-23 10k champion, and a vibrant team leader. Stephanie looked to weigh down her trophy case even further in 2007, all while scoring a truckload of points for the Gauchos. She was truly a Gaucho to watch in 2007 and beyond.

Stephanie runs for the New York Athletic Club and is coached by Brad Hudson.
