Background:

Maggie Guiney, 28, was a two-time NCAA DI cross country All-American at Boston College and was the team captain for both the 2001 and 2002 seasons. The highlights of Maggie’s career at Boston College include a 13th place finish in 2000 and a 10th place finish in 2001 at the NCAA DI cross country championships. She finished her college running career with a fifth year at the University of Wisconsin, while earning her MBA. Maggie is currently working full time as an Assistant Vice President of Investment Management for Real Estate Capital Partners.

In 2009, Maggie qualified for Team USA with her 14th place finish at the USA Cross Country Championships, and will compete in the Central America and Caribbean Athletic Association (NACAC) Championships in March. In 2008, she was the 24th American female at the 2008 ING New York City Marathon, running a personal best of 2:54:39. In 2007, she also was the leading point scorer for the team, having scored in nine of the 11 races on the NYRR team points competition schedule.
