MarathonPerformance.com is dedicated to helping competitive distance runners achieve their best performances.  Our Marathon Performance Training Group athletes are preparing for the 2008 U.S.A. Olympic Track and Field trials, the Kenyan Track and Field trials, the 2008 Beijing Olympics and other national and international competitions.  We currently have athletes based at sea-level in Eugene, Oregon and at altitude in Boulder, Colorado.


 



May 21, 2006 The Runners Cookbook For Sale and For a Great Cause,  New Track Workout Video Posted

Several of our athletes were excited to contribute to the recently released "The Runner's Cookbook:  Winning Recipes from Some of the World's Best Athletes", a fundraising cookbook to benefit the Jenny Crain Foundation and the Ryan Shay Memorial Fund.  100% of the proceeds will go directly to these two organizations. May 18, 2008  Boaz Cheboiywo and Stephanie Rothstein compete in California

On a sweltering afternoon at the Adidas Track Invitational in Carson, California today Boaz Cheboiywo raced to a 3:37 in the 1500 meters.  He earned a seventh place finish in a race that was won by the 2007 World Champion at the distance, Bernard Lagat.  Stephanie Rothstein raced to an eighth place finish in the ING Bay to Breakers 12K Road Race in a time of 42:26.
May 17, 2008  Hartmann top U.S. finisher at Healthy Kidney 10k in NYC, Higgins 6th place in Women's Race

Jason Hartmann raced to a 10th place finish, earning top American honors, in a strong international field at the NYRR's Healthy Kidney 10K road race in Central Park today.  Jason covered the 6.2 mile distance in a time of 29:38.  The race was won by Patrick Mackau of Kenya in a time of 28:19, 11 seconds shy of Dathan Ritzenhein's 28:08 course record set last year.  Lesley Higgins ran a solid race taking 6th place in the Women's division in a time of 36:23. 

Tomorrow, Stephanie Rothstein will be competing in San Francisco's famous ING Bay to Breakers run and Boaz Cheboiywo will be competing in the 1500 meters in the Adidas Track Classic in Los Angeles.
